A common connection for AI and your business systems
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets compatible AI applications connect to data sources and tools. In an Odoo project, an MCP connection can expose selected business information or defined actions to an assistant.
MCP does not automatically grant access or make answers correct. We scope the permitted operations, enforce user and company permissions, and define when human approval is required.
The right solution may use Odoo’s available AI features, a dedicated integration, or both. We assess the simplest approach that meets your requirements.

Questions before you start
Does every Odoo database support the same AI features?
No. The options depend on the version, edition, installed applications, hosting and available interfaces. We review these before proposing a scope.
Do we need MCP for every AI use case?
No. Existing Odoo features or a direct integration may be sufficient. MCP is useful when compatible assistants need a defined way to access approved tools and data.
Can the assistant post invoices or change records by itself?
Only actions explicitly included in the design should be exposed. We recommend human approval for financial posting and other sensitive changes, with clear permissions and records of execution.
What do you need to prepare a proposal?
Share your Odoo version, hosting type, priority process, number of intended users and desired outcome. Integration work and AI provider usage are scoped and priced separately where applicable.
